Why am I barred from playing when I have money in my account?

Belgian Law imposes certain wagering limits. All players are assigned a so called Maximum Bet (MB) which equals 250 EUROs over a period of 10 hours. If a player looses more than 250 EUROs in less than 10 hours, the player will be stopped from playing, temporarily.

If I am barred, when will I be able to play again?

It depends on how much time you have played before you reached the limit. Importantly, it also depends on whether you are “active” on the site or whether you are log-off. If you remain “active” the maximum waiting time is 10 hours. However, if you simply log off, the maximum waiting time is 12 times as long, that is 120 hours or five days.

What can I do to minimise my enjoyment and my playing time?

Play sensibly! Playing online games is about having fun. If you stop having fun, maybe it’s time to take a break. Here are some tips on how you to get the most fun out of the site:

  • Play for small stakes until you get comfortable with all the games. Remember, that the time you spend logged in and playing counts towards your MB
  • If your MB reaches 0 and you get barred DO NOT SIMPLY LOG OUT AND WAIT. Stay on the site. You can check out the play for fun poker games for example. Remember, if you remain active on the site, your waiting time is 12 times shorter.
  • Remember that Poker is a game of skill. You might get bad luck or bad beats in once in a while. But if you become a good poker player, you will win in the long run. Therefore, take the time to sharpen your poker skills on the low stake or on the play-for-fun tables. This will increase your winnings. And it will reduce your waiting time by 12 in case you have been barred.
