Recent data from research organization Onavo [] suggests that you’re not alone in that desire. Data from the UK suggests that 4.3% of iPhone owners are already using at least one sports betting application on their phone – with many using more than one.
Whilst the US is usually believed to be the world-leader in terms of gaming, the UK actually holds the position as one of the biggest ‘thought leader’ when it comes to emerging technologies – that’s why we like to keep an eye on trends there to get an idea of how the Belgian market will evolve in the coming years.
A report by Juniper Research [] earlier this year supported this growth – with a prediction that the mobile gambling industry would be worth over $100 billion by 2017. It also predicted that that bets made through mobile devices would cover more than 40% of all bets within two years.
The rise of the ‘Smart Phone’ and tablet usage has obviously lead the growth in mobile gaming – though many experts point to the popularity of “micro payment” games like FarmVille and Candy Crush Saga as helping users become more familiar (and trusting) of spending money through their phones. As users become more au fait with mobile money, sports betting and other casino based apps will surely rise in popularity, allowing users a much more seamless experience.
At we have many different mobile games available, including mobile poker and our newer casino games such as Tornado Dice and Ramses Dice – but that’s not the end of the story. We’re always looking at ways to improve and evolve the experience you have with us. We’re even working on our own sports betting solution, which will allow you to place a bet wherever you are in the world. Watch this space!
