Cup finals: Germany and England

12.05.2021

The several domestic leagues across Europe are gearing up to their conclusion, so get your betting in while you can! With the end of the regular competition season, it’s also time for the cup finals. This week, we can look forward to the cup finals in Germany and England, two of the worlds hardest football competitions.

In the German Cup final, colloquially known as the DFB-Pokal, it’s a Bundesliga duel between RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund. In England, the FA Cup final is fought between Champions League finalist Chelsea and its Premier League opponent Leicester City. Do you have any idea where to place your bet here?

DFB-Pokal: RB Leipzig – Borussia Dortmund (Thursday, May 13, 8.45p.m.)

This year’s DFB-Pokal will go either to Leipzig in eastern Germany, or Dortmund in the west. Both of these teams know each other well enough after years of competing each other in the Bundesliga. RB Leipzig is currently second in the domestic league, with a 6-points lead on Borussia Dortmund, who’s currently in fourth position.

The last time these two met, just last week in fact, the victory went to Borussia Dortmund on a 3-2 score line. Cup games often require a whole new attitude, as its all or nothing straight from the kick-off. Leipzig enters the final with an extra time victory over Werder Bremen, while Dortmund finished Holstein Kiel 5-0 from its part of the bracket.

FA Cup: Chelsea – Leicester City (Saturday, May 15, 6.15 p.m.)

Both Chelsea and Leicester City have enjoyed a stellar season in their Premier League. At the moment, Chelsea holds the third place, while Leicester is fourth: both places that can see them enter the European stage next season. Chelsea is even in the running for a Champions League title this year against fellow EPL squad Manchester City.

There’s no doubt that Chelsea will aim for both FA Cup and Champions League titles. The team from London beat their EPL and Champions League rival Manchester City in its bracket of the FA Cup. Leicester could be the hungrier team, though, as it only has this one shot at a prize this season. An English cup final like this is a guarantee for spectacle!

Leicester to nab the Cup from Chelsea could be a smart move @3.60!
