Major sports events 2020

As an Olympic year, 2020 is offering plenty of opportunities for sports bettors to make the most of their knowledge. We can not only look forward to the Summer Olympics, but also to two big international football tournaments, along with plenty of action in the world of tennis, golf, cycling and so much more. Let’s preview the main events 2020 has to offer and attempt to predict some smart bets ahead of the big events.

Both the ATP Tour and the WTA Tour have their usual stops across the world, and of course the 4 grand slams stand out as the events to look forward to the most. Then there’s eternal glory at the Olympics at stake, too. For Belgium specifically, this year could prove historical, as former world number 1 Kim Clijsters is gearing up for a big comeback. Can she still bring her best tennis to the courts at age 37?

In this year’s major golf tours, we’re expected to see a lot of excitement, as some of the sport’s most illustrious players come head to head. Last year, American Brooks Koepka managed a feat that had only been achieved twice before when he dominated all major golf tournaments within the year. Only one of the others who were this successful is still active: Tiger Woods... Expect the battle to go between them!

We’ll be crossing our fingers for Wout van Aert to return to make a big impression!

In 2020, we’re treated to not one but two big international football events: the European championship, and the Copa América. Both events are played simultaneously, so we can look forward to plenty of football action packed into a few summer weeks. Belgium has been repeatedly called out as the favourite of the European tournament. Can the Golden Generation finally win a major prize here?
