On Sunday at 2.30 pm struggling Gent is up against Zulte-Waregem while at 6 pm it’s a top of the table clash between Sporting Charleroi and Club Brugge!

Can the Ghelamco stadium become a fortress for Gent once more?

After a miserable start to the season which saw them win just once in their opening six games, KAA Gent recorded a crucial victory away to Oostende last weekend. The Buffalo’s home form has dipped significantly compared to last season and they will be looking to put that right when Zulte-Waregem comes to town.
Zulte-Waregem secured a home victory over Royal Excel Mouscron, which lifted them to fourth position. Goals from Aaron Iseka and Sandy Walsh did the damage here. An exciting match up is in store here with the big question: can Gent reclaim their home form at the Ghelamco stadium against a solid Zulte-Waregem outfit?

  • Zulte-Wargem has won 2 out of 3 away games in JPL
  • Head to Head – Gent unbeaten in last 4 meetings – W3 D1
  • Last season result – Gent 5 – 2 Zulte-Waregem

Decent value on ‘Gent & Total Goals Over 2.5’ @2.30 here!

What will separate the top two sides in the JPL?

There is no doubt where the big interest will be this weekend as the JPL’s top two sides come face to face for the first time this season. Despite sitting second in the table, Charleroi will be disappointed they let a 2-goal lead slip last weekend as Ibrahima Seck netted a last minute equalizer for Waasland-Beveren. This allowed Club Brugge to take the top spot with a victory over KV Mechelen.
Brugge has impressed so far with six victories out of seven and lead the defending champions, Anderlecht, by nine points already. The back four of Charleroi will need to keep a close eye on Brugge’s young superstar Emmanuel Dennis, with the 19-year old notching four goals in four games played. The Zebras are still on the lookout for their first JPL title, so expect an electric atmosphere at the Stade du Pays de Charleroi when rivals Club Brugge arrive.
