The regular football competitions may have come to their conclusions all over Europe, but there’s still plenty of exciting football events on the horizon. Let’s take a closer look at the action all over the world, and try to see if we can make some money with some sharp betting options.

Women’s international football tournament 2019 (June 7 – July 7)

From June 7 till July 7, the world’s best female national football teams battle it out for world domination in stadiums all around host nation France. Much like its male counterpart of last year, this tournament pits teams from all continents against each other in a group phase, after which elimination rounds take place to decide a final winner. Matchday 3 (June 7-8) and matchday 4 (June 10-11) of the Euro 2020 qualifiers

With the main event over a year away, all European nations still have lots to play for before they can get their hands on a ticket. It’s up to the smaller nations to rise to the challenge, while the big players need to stay level-headed enough to not slip up and embarrass themselves for the world to see. It’s a rather crowded schedule, with 50 games spread over 4 days. Bear also in mind that some countries will automatically qualify for Euro 2020 participation through the inaugural Nations League running parallel with these qualifiers.

Gold Cup (June 15 – July 7)

The Gold Cup is the tournament to decide which nation can call itself the football champion of North America, Central America and the Caribbean for the next two years. This time around, the matches will be played in 3 host countries: the United States, Costa Rica and Jamaica. Instead of the previous 12 teams, 16 nations will this time duke it out in group stages followed by knockout stages. Title defender USA will want to leave a mark on this 15th edition, after missing out on the big international tournament last summer in Russia.

Africa Cup of Nations (June 21 – July 19)

This 32nd edition of the biennial men’s football championship, and the first one played with 24 teams instead of 16, is played to decide which country crowns itself champion of Africa. Host country Egypt receives 23 competitors from all over the continent, in what should be a celebration of talents such as Egypt’s Mo Salah and Senegal’s Sadio Mané, as well as a first foray onto the stage for brave football minnows such as Madagascar and Burundi. With seven titles so far, host Egypt holds the record, while Cameroon defends its title.
