Which pilot will reign supreme in Monaco: Hamilton or Vettel?

On Sunday at 3.10 p.m., we can look forward to the Monaco Grand Prix as the fastest cars in the world return to one of the fastest circuits on the planet!

Will Mercedes continue to dominate the F1 season?

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton was in brilliant form last time out in the Spanish Grand Prix as he led teammate Valtteri Bottas across the finish line for an unprecedented fifth 1-2 for Mercedes in the fifth Grand Prix of 2019. This put the British driver six points ahead of his teammate in the overall standings, while Mercedes commands an 88-point lead over Ferrari and a staggering 131-ponts ahead of Red Bull. Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo is the most demanding and dangerous tracks of the calendar and the difficulty of overtaking means there is no room for error. It’s worth noting that Hamilton has enjoyed mixed success in Monte Carlo, with two wins recorded, the last one dating back to 2016.

Can Verstappen continue his rise with a win in Monaco?

In last year’s Monaco Grand Prix, Red Bull won with Daniel Ricciardo, but it was Max Verstappen who impressed, moving from starting 20th on the grid to finish ninth. The Dutchman was impressive in Spain, finishing in third place marking his fifth straight race with a top four finish to open the season. He currently sits in third place, behind the two Mercedes drivers, in the 2019 F1 Drivers Championship standings. The 21-year-old is very quick around street circuits and with his tactical smarts, he can pose a real threat.

Which pilot will record the quickest time in Monaco?

Despite having the quickest machine in Formula One, Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel sits behind Lewis Hamilton in the drivers' championship. It’s worth pointing out that Vettel has enjoyed steady success in a decade of competing in Monaco. The four-time F1 champion has two career wins to his credit in Monaco, most recently in 2017, and earned his fourth career second-place finish a year ago.
